Golf, Rocks with or without "The Tiger"

Golf is just a sport, it isn't a recognized religion is it...?

Tiger Woods doesn't transcend the sport, does he? Some say YES, me, I don't think so...

So what is all the hub-bub. Tiger, who has it all, couldn't settle for all and will pay the price, in the millions. I have little regard for Tiger's wish for privacy, he sold that right to the tune of millions of dollars, to endorse products...

I feel for his wife, she did what was expected of her and then some and gets her face rubbed in this. Not deserved, as far as I can see. If she is going to stay with her Tiger, she needs to put his putter, under lock and key and not let his titliests, out of her sight. For solace and comfort a call to Kobe Bryants wife, might be in order, to find out where the best jewelry store is for that perfect gift, to remedy indiscretion.

Now the new travesty perpetrated by The Tiger, The Woods...

Performance enhancing drugs, I love this one, whatever Sports Writing Moran, came up with this one obviously has set the new record for lowest combined IQ score. Lets see, he is coming off serious knee surgery, all are screaming "Golf is getting killed, without THE TIGER"... Doctor prescribes medicine to help his healing process, HELLO... Can't athletes use the best medicines possible to get them back to form the quickest. Should they not be allowed the best legally prescribed drugs on the market to heal their injuries???

This shouldn't be rocket science, this accusation is to me, borderline absurd and as far as I am concerned "That dog won't HUNT".

How far out of whack are we... When Tigers accident broke onto the news front, it was stop the presses time, it super ceded the murder of four police officers in Washington state. Me thinks our priorities are a little as cue..

I wish we would get back to just Golf discussions, talks of the upcoming season, newcomers that may rise from the shadows and start to make their mark. Past glories of the game, the Greats and their past accomplishments and even The TIGER, but not what or where his putter was... But the Legend, that is Tiger on the course.




I love this game, my father taught me how to try and play golf when I was a child, try is a key word. I watched tournaments with the Golden Bear, Arnold Palmer, Chi-Chi Rodriguez, Julius Boros, Lee Trevino, Tom Watson and Gary Player, every week battling it out, watching these in reverence. My father always telling me, this is, The Greatest Game, you start playing it as a child and can keep on playing it, till the day you die. What greater game is there?...

Personally, I want my Golf, give me the game, the talk of the strategy, the mental toughness. I don't care who Tiger sleeps with, his wife, has that to deal with, I want to see his majestic drives, I want to see him pump his fist after sinking a 40 foot putt. I don't want to know about John Daly in the Hooters Tent, chasing girls and getting drunk. If this is such a travesty then why is the Hooters Tent there at all. I am pretty sure Daly didn't put it up, he just gets chastised for being in it. That scene I don't care, I want to see "Lefty" pull a magical chip shot out of his bag.





That is what Golf is, not all that peripheral junk. My opinion, such as it is, is still that, my opinion... Please leave your comments, pro and con on what golf should be...
